A young carer is someone under 18 who provides unpaid care for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.

We know that in Wales some schools, colleges and carers services have started using different types of ID cards to help people like teachers, pharmacists and doctors to understand that they are carers and that they give them the information and support that they need. In some areas these cards have given carers discounts in leisure centres and on public transport.

We want to know what young carers think about ID cards so that we can help Welsh Government decide whether or not to introduce a national ID card scheme.

Whether you have ever used an ID card before or not, we'd love to know what you think about the possibility of young carers being able to have an ID card in the future.

The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and we would be really grateful for your help.
