Young Carers Futures is looking for carers aged 18-25 years to support the delivery of our Carer Friendly Employer training sessions to employers. You can get involved in one or more sessions. Each session will involve raising awareness of carers and why employers should prioritise young adult carers in the workplace. Are you aged 15-17 and want to boost your skills over the summer? Youth Employment UK are piloting a bitesize version of their "Young Professional Training" that will equip you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to write a CV, attend an interview, and learn how to negotiate a salary. After completing the course, you will earn a downloadable certificate that you can include on your CV! This training is called "Professional Preparation" and is brand new, so we would love to get your feedback. After completing the course, you will see a "Submit Survey" button, where you will have the opportunity to share your feedback to help us going forwards.
Carers Trust are filming a short 10-15 minute video for Youth Employment UK employers explaining who young and young adult carers are and 3 top tips for supporting carers into work. We would love to invite a carer to join this recording, sharing their experience. We will have a prep session and the recording can be at a time that works best for you. The Work Coach role is wide-ranging and diverse. You will be based in a Jobcentre working with a network of customers, employers and colleagues through a combination of face to face, digital and telephone contact on a daily basis. You will use your judgement to help people through some difficult, challenging times in their lives, and your tailored coaching can make a huge difference to their ability to find and stay in a job, or progress a career.
