Our brand-new research for Young Carers Action Day 2025 has been released, shedding light on the vital need for breaks among young carers. The findings are eye-opening: over half of young carers can’t access the breaks they need, and almost one in four say no one else can provide the care they do.

One of the best things you can do to help make young carers’ lives better and give them a break is to get as many people as possible to sign The Young Carers Covenant. Any person or organisation in a position to help young carers can sign the Covenant.
It’s a great way for MPs, MSPs and Members of the Senedd to show their commitment to improving young carers’ lives.
