Young Carers Action Day 2024: Resources

Our Young Carers Action Day (YCAD) 2024 resources are available below. 

They were to help everyone get involved in YCAD 2024 - young and young adult carers, their friends, professionals who might interact with young carers, and local carer organisations.  

YCAD 2024 has now passed, but the resources are still available to download below.

  • Young carers in education guide – to send to your contacts in schools, colleges or universities to help them better identify and support young and young adult carers.

  • Storytelling guide – to help you tell really engaging stories that connect your audience to young carers.
  • Template letter to employers – to send to employers in your area, encouraging them to offer young adult carers support on the pathway into work. This could include career insight days and shadowing.
  • Template press release – to send to your local print, radio and TV media contacts to help raise local awareness about young carers and YCAD 2024 and to publicise your activities around the day. 
  • Template letters to decision-makers – to send to your local and national decision-makers to encourage them to take action on and around YCAD.
