Bloom & Wild

Bloom & Wild, the UK’s  most-loved online florist, has been supporting Carers Trust since October 2020. And with every sale of Bloom & Wild’s Florist’s Pick bouquet, Carers Trust receives 15% of the profits. In just a few short months they have raised an incredible £110,000 to help support unpaid carers.

This March, thanks to Bloom & Wild funding, Carers Trust will be putting on activities to provide a platform for young carers to share dreams and aspirations and take part in activities such as creative writing and making videos.  These activities are all aimed at helping young and young adult carers to unleash their potential.

As well as raising money, Bloom & Wild is also determined to play its part in protecting young carers’ futures – the theme of this year’s Young Carers Action Day. Bloom & Wild has pledged to increase the visibility of young carers. So, they will be showcasing stories of young carers and their aspirations across their channels on Young Carers Action Day and beyond.

They will also be providing opportunities for young carers to gain experience and skills through content workshops and understanding roles within Bloom & Wild through career insight days and talks.

"Every single day, young carers make sacrifices with their education, their ambitions and their free time to care wholeheartedly for someone they love. And that can mean they don't always have the grades or work experience that employers usually ask for to land their dream job. As a company who sees the huge impact that care has on others, we recognise that young carers have many excellent, transferrable skills to celebrate. So, we're very happy to give young carers experiences with our team to help boost their confidence and to use our platforms to share the incredible work they do."
