The merger will ensure the long-term sustainability of the specialist services the scheme provides across the Vale.
There will be no changes to the services offered across with the organisation continuing to provide a range of flexible services to meet the changing needs of the carer and the person they care for, from the point of diagnosis until the caring role ceases, and for some time beyond.
The scheme will remain the only specialist dementia care organisation providing a comprehensive range of high quality services for both carers and their loved ones, throughout the Vale.
A spokesperson for the scheme, now part of Carers Trust South East Wales, comments:
“Everyone is extremely proud of the high-quality specialist care we have provided in Penarth, Barry and the surrounding areas over the last 30 years.
“Our team of dedicated, knowledgeable and skilled professionals work hard to provide compassionate and appropriate support to our carers and those they care for.
“We are delighted that the merger with Carers Trust South East Wales will allow us to continue to deliver the same services, maintaining our values-based approach and the spirit and ethos of our legacy organisations.
“We look forward to working with the Carers Trust South East Wales team and wider members of the Carers Trust Wales Network to make a positive difference in the lives of carers.”
