Each year, our dedicated Carers Trust runners take on the London Marathon and run the incredible 26-mile distance in support of the UK’s unpaid carers.

Marathon runner 2018

This year, our 2018 Carers Trust Virgin Money London Marathon runners achieved something truly amazing when they completed their run, and they raised over £8,000 to support unpaid carers across the UK!

From those funds, £4,000 raised by runners from the Rank Group plc were dedicated specifically to support Rank Cares individual grants for carers. These grants enabled around ten carers to buy some essential items they needed to help them manage their caring role or supported them to have a much-needed break.

The remaining money raised by our other amazing runners funded our range of support services for carers, allowing us to reach carers across the UK.

The 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon

We now have our team of keen fundraisers who will be running the Virgin Money London Marathon for us on 28 April 2019. You can take a look at their training and fundraising progress on their JustGiving pages.

We’ll be there on the day of the marathon to encourage them along the course. With every mile they run, jog, or walk for Carers Trust, they will be helping to reach more of the seven million unpaid carers in the UK!
