Please help support unpaid carers through the Coronavirus crisis by donating to our Carers Emergency Fund.
Donate to our Carers Emergency Fund
can provide food to an unpaid carer who doesn’t have access to their local food bank due to the crisis
could go towards urgent repair costs for a carer, such as a washing machine that has broken down
could fund transport costs so that a carer can deliver essential medication to someone who is self-isolating
There are over 7 million people in the UK who provide unpaid care for a family member or friend.
Even before the Coronavirus crisis started, hundreds of thousands of carers across the UK were experiencing severe problems of isolation and ill-health.
For unpaid carers, the Coronavirus emergency has made an already difficult situation far, far worse.
Many are experiencing even greater pressure than before as they try to cope round-the-clock with the physical and mental health needs of the person they are caring for.
And because they can’t get out to the shops or food banks, many unpaid carers are desperately worried about how they are going to access food and essential medical supplies.
We are determined to be there for unpaid carers throughout the crisis.
