Time Away From Caring: Good Practice in Carer Breaks
Carers Trust developed this report and resources as part of the Health and Wellbeing Alliance, alongside Carers UK. The project, supported by the Department of Health and Social Care, looked at good practice in delivering carer breaks and using these good practice examples, in depth interviews with experts, developed Top Tips for commissioners and providers.
Carers Week 2021 - Resources for GPs
Developed for Carers Week 2021, these resources for GPs and those working within primary healthcare settings aim to identify older carers at key points of contact. Although these resources were developed specifically for carers week, they can be used at any time to help carers, particularly older carers, to identify themselves to primary care professionals.
Together: A Whole Family Approach for Young Carers
Carers Trust Scotland is part of an Erasmus+ funded Together: A Whole Family Approach for Young Carers project, with partners based in Belgium, Germany, Greece and Italy. The project aims to raise awareness of young carers and to support them and their families.

An Activity Project for Carers of People with Dementia
This publication was developed by Carers Trust in Partnership with The Carers Centre for Brighton and Hove. It aims to share good practice with Carers Trust Network Partners on the design and delivery of a project aimed at supporting carers of people with dementia with knowledge and skills on meaningful interactive activities that will benefit both the carer and person in receipt of care.

A resource for local authorities working with schools to identify and support young carers. It sets out how using the Young Carers in Schools programme supports local authorities to ensure they fulfil their statutory duties as set out in the Children and Families Act 2014 and the Care Act 2014.
Protecting Young Carers from Bullying
This guide is aimed at all professionals who work with young people and are therefore likely to come across young carers. It aims to raise the awareness and understanding of the relationship between being a young carer and bullying, in order that proactive steps can be taken to help prevent young carers from being bullied.

We sent a Freedom of Information request to all councils in England with responsibility for social care asking them whether or not they are currently charging carers for support or are considering introducing charges in the next year.
The Triangle of Care Carers Included: A Guide to Best Practice for Dementia Care in Wales
Carers Trust Wales and the Royal College of Nursing have explored an adaptation of the Triangle of Care to meet the needs of carers of people with dementia in acute hospitals in Wales. The Triangle of Care describes a therapeutic relationship between the person with dementia (patient), staff member and carer that promotes safety, supports communication and sustains wellbeing.
