Designed with teachers and schools staff, the Young Carers in Schools Step-by-step Guide for Leaders, Teachers and Non-teaching Staff, helps make the identification and support of young carers in schools in primary and secondary schools in Wales as easy as possible. The Guide and tools are available in English and Welsh.
Triangle of Care Posters and Leaflets
Network Partners, carer services and mental health service providers can promote the Triangle of Care to carers, professionals and service users with these specially designed leaflets and posters. The Triangle of Care describes a therapeutic relationship between the patient, staff member and carer that promotes safety, supports communication and sustains wellbeing.
Engaging with Pharmacies
Pharmacies are visited by about 1.6 million people every day in England so they are ideally positioned to identify carers of all all ages including young carers. They can therefore play a key role in the early initiation of assessment and support which can be life changing. This toolkit is aimed at young carer services to support them to work collaboratively with pharmacies. It draws on the Young Carers Pharmacy Project that took place between 2014 and 2016.
Protecting Young Carers from Bullying
This guide is aimed at all professionals who work with young people and are therefore likely to come across young carers. It aims to raise the awareness and understanding of the relationship between being a young carer and bullying, in order that proactive steps can be taken to help prevent young carers from being bullied.

Young Adult Carers at School: Experiences and Perceptions of Caring and Education
In 2013, Carers Trust commissioned the University of Nottingham to undertake research to find out the experiences and aspirations of young adult carers in relation to school, further and higher education and work.
