The Triangle of Care, Carers Included: A Guide to Best Practice in Mental Health Care in England
The Triangle of Care guide can be used across all mental health services, not only inpatient, and includes a universal self-assessment tool as well as guidance notes. The Triangle of Care describes a therapeutic relationship between the patient, staff member and carer that promotes safety, supports communication and sustains wellbeing.

This Young Carers in Schools resource helps school staff understand the challenges that young carers are experiencing during the COVID-19 crisis and offers practical guidance on how to support young carers. Identification Practice of Young Carers in England – Review, Tips and Tools
This resource is primarily aimed to be a guide for local government. The Children and Families Act 2014 places a duty on local authorities to take ‘reasonable steps’ to identify young carers in their area who have support needs. This resource sets out these duties and shows how local government can work with education, health and social care partners to take the steps necessary to increase identification of young carers.
