During your next spring clean, consider donating any unused clothes, an old phone or even an unwanted car. We have partnered with the following schemes to help find new and environmentally friendly ways for you to make a difference to the lives of unpaid carers.
Give a Car
Carers Trust is asking the public to crunch their old cars for cash as part of a novel fund-raising scheme by Giveacar. Unwanted cars are collected free-of-charge by Giveacar and either sold through an online auction, or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way at an Authorised Treatment Facility. Proceeds from the sale are donated to a charity of the donor’s choice, with ‘bangers’ that are scrapped still netting between £40 and £160 for the chosen cause.
Clothes for Charity
Through Clothes for Charity you can clear out your cupboard, whilst raising money for Carers Trust. Clothes for Charity provide a secure and flexible way to donate your old garments to charity. For every tonne of clothes donated to Clothes for Charity, they will donate £200 to Carers Trust! For more information about the schemes please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Carers Trust are teamed up with ShP for Charity to recycle unwanted phones and raise money for carers! The service is free, quick, simple and environmentally friendly. If you or anyone you know have an old and unwanted mobile phone please send them freepost to:
