Responding to Macmillan Cancer Support’s new report Under Pressure, Joe Gannon, Carers Trust Director of Policy and Research, said:

“We know how tough being a carer is and that they can’t always take the best care of themselves because of time and all of life’s other commitments. However, every carer is entitled to an assessment of their needs and should speak to their local council about how to get one.

“They can also get help and support via our Carers.org online service where they can connect with someone with 24/7.”
