Lunch and Learn series
In 2020/21 we are holding themed Lunch and Learn briefings to engage and inspire decision-makers and policymakers. We will develop thought-leading, sector- leading policy, research and practice through these dynamic, vibrant and innovative events.
Our events will provide a space for people who work in the spheres of policy, social care, education, healthcare, the third sector and public sector to share and learn together.

- Rethinking respite for carers of people with dementia (27 January 2021)
Join guest speaker Nick Andrews (Swansea University) as he explores recent research findings into short breaks, and shares learning from a project that co-produced innovative and positive approaches to respite with carers in West Wales.
- Why research matters in social care (12 November 2020).
Guest speaker, Professor Chris Taylor, Academic Director of the Social Science, Research Park at Cardiff University, will reflect on his experiences of embedding research into practice and why it matters.
- 500 stories: social care in Wales (10 December 2020).
Katie Cooke, Project Manager of Measuring the Mountain, will present findings from their new report Understanding what matters in social care: experiences of care and support services and being an unpaid carer in Wales.
