Carers' Support provides a voice and services which meets the needs of all carers in Kent. What is Carers' Support? Carers’ Support is a voluntary organisation and an independent charity with a Board of Trustees, partially funded by social services and other bodies. The primary aims are to support and promote, by any means available, the needs of carers of any age, whether that person cares for their partner, child, parent or sibling. Who is a carer? Do you know? Are you? A Carer is someone who has caring responsibilities for a spouse or parent, sibling, relative, friend, or neighbour who, due to disability, frailty, illness and/or vulnerability, cannot manage alone in the community. Carers care without pay and can be of any age. The Charity offers encouragement, information and the emotional support that carers need to make life easier for both the carers and the person being cared for. Carers’ Support also gives the carer the opportunity to meet with other carers, get their voices heard and influence change.
