NHS Property Services
In February 2018, Carers Trust launched its partnership with NHS Property Services, a property and facilities management company for the NHS.
The partnership is dedicated to supporting older carers, with a focus on giving grants to individuals and groups, to improve quality of life and combat the isolation and loneliness that so many older carers can feel.
Since the start of our partnership, the funds raised by NHS Property Services have helped over 1,370 older carers. NHS Property Services employees are truly committed to this partnership and have already done so much to help support older carers. In the summer of 2018, NHS Property Services staff cycled over 250 miles from London to Stockport. 30 cyclists and eight support crew members took part and they set themselves an ambitious target for the challenge of £15,000. In the end they managed to hit almost £35,000!
They have also recently taken part in a virtual fundraising challenge, the Carers Trust Cup, and raised over £12,000! The teams got involved in virtual escape rooms, hosted bake sales, carved pumpkins, went on long distance cycles, completed step challenges, climbed Mount Snowdon and so much more.
"Unpaid carers make a vital contribution to the health sector and we are delighted to be supporting Carers Trust and their important work.”
Andrew Flett, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, NHS Property Services
"Carers Trust is delighted to be a charity partner of NHS Property Services. We thank them for their wonderful efforts in fundraising... as we know it will make a huge difference to unpaid carers across the country. With three in five of us set to become a carer at some stage in our lives, we need great partnerships like this to be able to meet this pressing need.”
Svetlana Kirov, Director of Fundraising and Communications, Carers Trust
