2 July, 12:30 – 13:30

Oriel, Senedd, Cardiff Bay

Sponsored by the Minister for Education and Skills, Huw Lewis

Carers Trust Wales are gearing up for a launch at the Senedd of our report on young adult carers’ experiences in Wales. There are over 22,000 young adult carers aged 14-25 in Wales who provide care, unpaid, for a friend or family member who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction cannot cope without their support.

The Time to be Heard Wales report highlights for the first time the experiences of young adult carers in Wales based on the conversations they have shared with us over the past year about the challenges of caring.

We will be joined at the launch by young adult carers from across Wales, some of who will be speaking about their experiences. The event will include speeches from the Minister for Education and Skills, Huw Lewis AM, and the Deputy Minister for Health, Vaughan Gething.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided. If you would like to attend, please RSVP toSDouglas@carers.org.
