Finding and staying in employment
This guide is broken down into easy to read sections which gives you tips about completing applications and attending interviews. It also gives guidance on employment policies so you can request flexible working for example.
The guide was written following a consultation event with 22 young adult carers from across The Carers Trust Network, their support workers and four employers.
The content is based on what these young adult carers told us were the barriers they face in finding and staying in employment and their solutions. The guide is aimed at young adult carers but carers of any age may find it helpful, particularly if you are looking for work for the first time, have been out of work for a while, or if you are in work but looking for a new job.
