Giving their fundraising best
Employees at Mecca Bingo and Grosvenor Casino have taken part in countless fundraising activities and challenges to raise funds for Carers Trust since the start of our partnership in 2014.
Anything from bake-offs, leg-waxing, head shaving, 24-hour karaoke, marathons, cycles relays… the list really is endless! Their efforts have truly paid off as they have now raised over £1.3million.
Just under 2,000 employees have now signed up to donate to Carers Trust through the Pennies from Heaven initiative.
To date, the scheme has raised over £21,000 for Carers Trust. With over 20% of employees signed up, The Rank Group was one of 13 companies to receive the Pennies from Heaven Gold Award this year.
Rank Group employees have also been incredibly generous with their time.
To date, they have volunteered over 7,900 hours! Whether volunteering for local Network Partners or for Carers Trust offices, they have rolled up their sleeves and made a difference to their local communities.
Volunteering activities include hands-on support like gardening and painting, but also leading on skills workshops, offering HR support and volunteering at events and carers cafes.
One Rank Group volunteer said:
"I had a wonderful day and met some wonderful people, both carers and the loved ones they care for. Loved every minute of it! I have offered to assist with further events."
Giving their voices
Employees at The Rank Group have helped us to raise awareness about unpaid carers.
Whether in clubs or via social media, Rank employees have been shouting about the partnership and about why it's important to support unpaid carers.
Giving our thanks
On #GivingTuesday 2016, everyone at Carers Trust would like to take the time to say thank you to Rank Group employees. We are so grateful for your support, which has directly helped us support almost 6,000 unpaid carers in the UK.
