We need to let the Government know we are still waiting for equal rights for young carers.

You can help make sure that the Government and as many MPs as possible understand why it is important that the law is changed to improve young carers' rights.

On Tuesday 11 June, we need the Government and MPs to support an amendment to the Children and Families Bill which would give young carers a new legal entitlement to assessment and support.

Carers Trust is leading calls from a number of charities to get crucial changes in the law to improve young carers' rights.

The Children and Families Bill is a significant opportunity to improve the lives of young carers. However, whereas adult carers' rights are improved by the Care Bill we still haven’t seen any change in legislation for young carers.

Ask your MP to attend the report stage debate of the Children and Families Bill which will take place on Tuesday 11th June by emailing them with our suggested text.

Or tweet you MP asking them if they will attend. You may wish to tweet a message such as:

Please attend the #ChildrensBill debate on Tues to help ensure #Youngcarers get the support they deserve #stillwaiting
