Making sure that older people have the best quality of life is a key priority for the Older People’s Commissioner for Wales. This is why a review into the quality of life and care of older people living in care homes in Wales is being conducted.

The Commissioner will be reviewing whether older people living in care homes have a good quality of life by looking at factors such as physical and psychological health, social relationships, the care home environment and spirituality.

A number of public bodies, including regulators and inspectors, Local Authorities, Local Health Boards and the Welsh Government will be subject to the Commissioner’s recommendations.

To share your experiences of living in residential care (or to share the experience of a friend or loved one), please complete the Commissioner's multiple choice questionnaire, which is available If you don’t have access to a computer, a hard copy of the questionnaire is available for you to complete, or the Commissioner's Office can go through the questions with you on the phone. Simply call 08442 640670 to make the most convenient arrangements for you.
