The biggest fundraising focus of the year was a fabulous masked ball in Cardiff City Halls, on Saturday October 5th. 400 hundred staff and invited guests were among those who enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, dinner and entertainment, whilst raising funds for Carers Trust, the final tally is expected to be in the region of an amazing £20, 000!!

Helen Molyneux, NewLaw’s Chief Executive, spoke about the decision to select Carers Trust having seen first-hand via many of their clients, the day to day effects that serious injuries can have on lives and those of families left caring for them.

NewLaw adopted Carers Trust as our charity partners for 2013 having seen first-hand via many of their clients, many of the day to day effects that serious injuries can have on lives and those of families left caring for them.

NewLaw Solicitors Scotland has already developed close links with three Carers Centres in Glasgow, having seen the fantastic work that the Carers Trust do and wanting to help where possible.

NewLaw Scotland attend each centre for half a day once a month to provide free training and advice to  Carers and Carers Centre staff. Feedback from the Carers Centres in Scotland has been positive. They have found that this support has empowered carers to understand and make legal decisions not only for the person they care for but also for themselves.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone from NewLaw who has supported Carers Trust so far this year!
