Carers Trust has launched an exciting new partnership with The Jockey Club, the largest commercial Group in British horse racing.

Over the coming months, employees across the Group, including 15 racecourses and the company's head office, will be raising money for Carers Trust's vital ongoing work supporting unpaid carers.

The Jockey Club employees have been coming up with some really creative ways of raising money for Carers Trust including bake sales, sports days, race nights and sponsored events.

All money raised will help Carers Trust support even more unpaid carers through its grants programmes, online support services and through support to local carers' services.

The Jockey Club employees will also be giving up their spare time to volunteer and will help out in any number of ways from helping promote local carers services, to lending support at local events, and sharing their skills to better support unpaid carers and Carers Trust staff.

Reaching out to help hidden carers

Gail Scott-Spicer, Chief Executive of Carers Trust comments:

"We'd like to say a huge thank you to The Jockey Club for choosing Carers Trust as one of their charity partners. The money raised by employees will mean we can provide even more life-changing support to the UK’s unpaid carers.

"As well as providing vital funding, this exciting new partnership will enable us to reach out and help those hidden carers.

"It will also make the challenge of being an unpaid carer that little bit easier - helping to prevent people from breaking down under the strain and to find new ways of coping."

"Delighted to be working with Carers Trust"

Paul Fisher Group Managing Director, Jockey Club Racecourses said:

"All of us at The Jockey Club are delighted to be working with Carers Trust over the next two years.

The charity provide a huge amount of amazing support for those in need, in different ways and I am delighted that we will be able to help them in this important work.

"We have just fewer than two million people who visit our racecourses over the year and I hope that our customers will embrace the different fundraising activities that will be running over the coming months.

"We are excited and motivated to be working with the charity over the next two years."
