To celebrate 25 years’ of garden giving for Carers Trust, the National Garden Scheme’s The Old Rectory at Farnborough, near Wantage opened its beautiful gardens for a free visit for family carers.
To help celebrate its 25 years’ of support and fundraising for Carers Trust, the a National Garden Scheme garden opened for a free visit for family carers. The visit helped unpaid carers get a much-needed break from the pressure of their caring role at home.
Carers Trust Scotland today is releasing research about the experiences of the pandemic among unpaid carers and carer service support workers across Scotland. More than 500 participants shared the challenges of caring, and supporting unpaid carers, throughout the pandemic.
Carers Trust President, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, has launched a special new fund which aims to provide small grants to approximately 30,000 exhausted unpaid carers so they can take a much-needed break from the constant demands of their caring role.

Unpaid adult carers who are eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine, and are not known to be carers by the health and care system will be unable to book a vaccine on the National Booking System, instead they will have to approach their GP, according to the latest information.

This information covers the process in England. On 20 February, NHS England wrote to local leaders in charge of the vaccination programme and set out how they should identify unpaid carers in this initial phase of vaccinating those in group 6.
Carers Trust will use the money to help thousands of exhausted, unpaid carers access much-needed respite services and breaks from their round-the-clock caring roles.
Through the new Covid-19 Support Fund, Carers Trust will work closely with Carers UK and our Network Partners to deliver meaningful change for unpaid carers.
