Stars share the stage with carers for a festive night to remember

This year’s Carers Trust Christmas Carol concert had it all – from rousing renditions of festive favourites to moving musical performances and heartfelt readings from young carers and celebrity guests.

Hosted by acclaimed actor and Carers Trust ambassador Greg Wise, the evening began with a warm welcome to the hundreds of guests gathered in the stunning surroundings of St Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge.

In amongst the carol singing, the audience was treated to memorable festive readings by actor Jim Carter OBE, broadcaster Angela Rippon CBE, Darcy Jones from Phoenix Group and two amazing young carers, Sarah and Ezra.

Throughout the evening, our guests were joined by two incredible choirs, the Boutcher School Choir and the Chandos Chamber Choir, in singing a wonderful selection of much-loved carols. Special performances from carer and self-taught pianist and star of Channel 4’s The Piano, Maria Durdan, added to the musical magic.

Every pound raised from this Christmas concert will help Carers Trust give financial, practical and emotional support to carers across the UK, where and when it is needed most.

Each year, more than a million carers benefit from the support provided by our network of local carer organisations. With demand for these services rising, our work is needed now more than ever.
