Supporting carers in work & wellbeing – Our exciting partnership with Phoenix Group

Investing in Carers’ Futures – Our Exciting Partnership with Phoenix Group

We’re delighted to announce our new two-year partnership with Phoenix Group. Together, we’ll be working towards our shared vision of financial resilience, greater employment choice and improved wellbeing for carers.

Thanks to Phoenix Group’s support, we’ll be working together to deliver:

A Carers Employability Programme with Camden Carers Centre

The programme is supporting adult carers with employment opportunities and skills.

This includes supporting carers before they enter the workforce – e.g. helping to build their confidence, understanding any potential impacts on benefits, understanding their rights in employment, and how they can access replacement care.

A Research Project

This is focusing on the economic cost of carers being excluded from the workforce, including lost labour, earnings, productivity and tax. This will help us to better understand the value of investing in the employability of carers, and support carers’ choice and rights in relation to employment.

An Employee Volunteering Programme

As part of our new partnership, we’ll be engaging with Phoenix Group employees across the UK with a range of great volunteering opportunities at local carers centres in our network.

We’re so excited to get this new partnership up and running, and give our huge thanks to Phoenix Group for their generous support!
