Imelda Staunton and Greg Wise join Carers Trust’s spectacular annual Christmas carol concert

Tuesday 10 December, 6pm onwards

St Paul's Church Knightsbridge, 32a Wilton Place, London SW1X 8SH

Acclaimed actors Dame Imelda Staunton and Greg Wise will join Angela Rippon, Joanna Gosling and friends at Carers Trust’s annual Christmas Carol Concert in London.

The star-studded event will feature personally selected Christmas-themed readings delivered by the celebrity guests, interspersed with uplifting festive carols.

The concert takes place on Tuesday 10 December at St Paul’s Knightsbridge, a stunning Anglican church in the heart of London.

Best-known for her formidable portrayals in The Crown and the Harry Potter films, award-winning actress Imelda Staunton has this year received a damehood after 40 years dedicated to the theatre and film industry.

Also giving a reading is much-loved film, TV and stage star Greg Wise, who has appeared in hit shows like Sense and Sensibility and The Crown. Greg was a devoted carer for his sister in the last months of her life before she died of cancer. He has since been a dedicated supporter of Carers Trust, becoming an Ambassador in 2023.

Veteran TV and radio personality, broadcaster and Carers Trust Ambassador Angela Rippon will also perform a reading at the concert. Angela also has first-hand experience as a carer, having looked after her mother Edna who had vascular dementia.

The renowned Chandos Chamber Choir will join guests to sing a selection of much-loved Christmas carols. Award-winning classical soprano Margaret Keys and an ensemble of young carers will add an extra dose of Christmas sparkle to the concert this year.

All money raised from the concert will help to transform the lives of unpaid carers, many of whom are being pushed into poverty by the cost-of-living crisis and the increasing pressures of their caring role.
