Angela Rippon and Greg Wise join Carers Trust’s star-studded 50th anniversary Christmas Carol Concert

Angela Rippon and Greg Wise will join an unmissable line-up of festive music and readings at Carers Trust’s 50th anniversary Christmas Carol Concert in London.
The star-studded event takes place on Wednesday 13 December at St Paul’s Knightsbridge, a stunning Anglican church in the heart of London.
Fresh from capturing the nation’s hearts with her performances on Strictly, broadcaster and Carers Trust Ambassador Angela Rippon will perform a reading at the concert. A much-loved TV and radio personality for more than five decades, Angela has also spoken movingly about caring for her mother Edna who had vascular dementia.
Also giving a reading is film, TV and stage star Greg Wise, whose roles include playing John Willoughby in Sense and Sensibility. Greg was a devoted carer for his sister in the last months of her life before she died of cancer and has been a dedicated supporter of Carers Trust, becoming an Ambassador this year.
The renowned City of London Choir will also appear, performing a selection of much-loved Christmas carols, conducted by the inspirational Hilary Davan Wetton. They will be joined by Irish classical soprano Margaret Keys, who has performed across the globe in musicals ranging from The Phantom of the Opera to Les Miserables, My Fair Lady and Mary Poppins.
All money raised from the concert will help to transform the lives of unpaid carers, many of whom are being pushed into poverty by the cost-of-living crisis and the increasing pressures of their caring role.
How to book tickets
Tickets costs £35 and include a free programme and mince pie upon arrival. All unpaid carers can access 50% off tickets.
You can also attend a glamorous pre-concert drinks reception at the Royal Thames Yacht Club, SW1X 7LF, from 6pm on 13th December. The club is a five-minute walk from the church and tickets for the concert, reserved seating and reception are £75.
