Young Carers in Schools
Young Carers in Schools is a free initiative that makes it as easy as possible for schools to support young carers, and awards good practice.
Run jointly by Carers Trust and The Children’s Society, the Young Carers in Schools (YCiS) programme works with schools across England and Wales to share good practice, provide relevant tools and training, and to celebrate the great outcomes that many schools achieve for young carers.

Young adult carers at college and university
The Going Further, Going Higher project worked with four Carers Trust Network Partners across England to empower young adult carers with the skills and confidence to approach their colleges and universities to ask for recognition and support. This resource provides top tips when training young adult carer ambassadors and engaging with education providers.

Carers Trust's network of local carer organisations across the UK offer information, advice, practical support and/or care in the home. Many of them, but not all, have services for young carers and young adult carers.
