In our countdown to Christmas 2017, we took some time to reflect on how our partnership with the Rank Group supports carers across the UK. We highlighted different stories every day.

Rank volunteers supported seven pamper days for carers

As part of our partnership with the Rank Group, Rank employees have been getting involved in volunteering – supporting local carers services across the UK. And since the partnership started in 2014, Rank volunteers have supported seven pamper days, offering unpaid carers the chance to get a break from caring and take some time to care for themselves.

Rank volunteers first held a Pamper Day for carers back in 2015, organised by Carers Trust Network Partner Camden Carers.

Woman massaging woman's headVolunteers from Grosvenor London Victoria baked dozens of cakes for carers to enjoy and four volunteers helped out with the Pamper Day – Natalia, an amateur make-up artist, Monika who painted nails, Vicki who served refreshments and made everyone feel welcome, and Milly, a reflexologist who was able to help the carers relieve some of their tension and pain.

Fantastic support from Rank volunteers, overwhelmed by delicious home-baked cakes, cookies and more! The volunteers on the day were very attentive to the carers – we laughed, smiled and danced together. Without the support from Rank Volunteers the day wouldn’t have been possible!”

Since then, Rank employees from Grosvenor London Victoria, Grosvenor Golden Horseshoe and Grosvenor London Park Tower and other Rank clubs have all been supporting a variety of pamper days.
