In our countdown to Christmas 2017, we took some time to reflect on how our partnership with the Rank Group supports carers across the UK. We highlighted different stories every day.

In total, Rank employees have volunteered over 8,500 hours

Since the beginning of our partnership, Rank employees have volunteered thousands of hours of their time, including helping out with:

  • DIY and gardening: Two employees from Mecca Cwmbran repainted a room in our Carers Trust Cardiff office. In Aberdeen, employees from Mecca and Grosvenor Aberdeen supported their local carers service VSA Aberdeen by repainting fences and doing some much needed gardening work.
  • Skills workshops: Employees from the HR team at the Rank Support Office volunteered at Solihull Carers Centre to support two employability skills workshops for young adult carers, helping them with their CV and interview skills. An employee from Mecca Ayr also organised a CV support session for her local service.
  • Admin: In London, volunteers have helped us with a variety of tasks at Carers Trust – including mailings and other admin tasks.

These are just some of the ways that volunteers have helped out across the UK. We’re extremely grateful, as their support makes a huge difference to our work.
