Each year, our dedicated Carers Trust runners take on the London Marathon and run the incredible 26-mile distance in support of the UK’s unpaid carers. And next time, it could be you!

Marathon runner 2018

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our 2018 Carers Trust Virgin Money London Marathon runners. Congratulations to you all! You’ve achieved something truly amazing. Not to mention raising over £8,000 to help support unpaid carers in the UK!

The £4,000 raised by our runners from the Rank Group plc will specifically support Rank Cares individual grants for carers. It will enable around ten carers to buy the essential items they need to help them manage their caring role, or it could pay for them to have a much-needed break. The remaining money raised by our other amazing runners will help fund our range of support services for the UK’s seven million unpaid carers, allowing us to reach even more of them.

So thank you, to all of our runners, for doing something incredible!

We managed to see all of our runners from our cheering point between miles 17 and 18, and we hope it helped spur you on for the final 8–9 miles of the course! By about 2:15pm all our runners had passed us, putting them on track for great finishing times!

If you feel inspired to run the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon contact our Fundraising Team for information on how to enter and for support with your fundraising activities.
