This Christmas Carers Trust is offering people the chance to properly reward the efforts of someone working tirelessly to care unpaid for a family member or loved one.
We are asking people to nominate someone they know for a £100 voucher as a festive treat and reward for unpaid work that all too often goes unnoticed and unthanked.
The nominated person should:
Young adult carers often find it difficult to juggle caring with school college or work. So Carers Trust is working with The University of Nottingham to find out what helps.
The figure has been achieved less than three months after the launch of our Charity of the Year partnership with The Co-operative.
What is Carers Allowance?
Carer’s Allowance is currently a benefit payment of £58.45 a week to help you look after someone with substantial caring needs.
Findings from the "Prepared to Care?" survey will be incorporated into a report to be published at the start of Carers Week 2013— taking place this year from Monday 10th to Sunday 16th June.
