As well as taking part in fundraising activities including quizzes, book sales, bake-offs and the annual Battle of the Bands event, Nabarro’s employees will also be participating in various volunteering activities for Carers Trust, such as skills sharing, mentoring and offering an extra pair of hands at local carers services.
The money raised will help Carers Trust update its interactive online services in order to better inform and support unpaid carers.
Pushpinder Gill, Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager of Carers Trust, said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all employees at Nabarro for choosing us as their charity of the year. The money raised will be life-changing for those who are caring for a family member or friend, unpaid. It will help them to find out how they can be better supported by accessing our services online through advice and information, which was not possible without this funding – we are extremely grateful.”
Lindsey Barrett, Nabarro Senior Associate and Charity committee member, said: “We are delighted to support Carers Trust in 2015. At Nabarro we strive to help causes which benefit our communities locally and strike a chord with our people. All of our fundraising events at the London office will be raising money to ensure unpaid carers have the very best access to information and advice via Carers Trust online services. We are thrilled to be able to make such a real difference to thousands of people who live with the challenges of caring for a family member or friend who has an illness, disability, mental health problem or addiction.”
