There are SmartPasses in Northern Ireland that offer discounts if you are 60+, but not specifically if you are disabled or a carer

You must live in Northern Ireland to apply for:

  • The Senior SmartPass (Translink website)(external link opens in a new window / tab) -  free travel if you are 65 years or over 
  • 60+ SmartPass – if you are between 60 and 64 
  • Blind SmartPass - if you are registered blind with a Northern Ireland Health & Social Care Trust 
  • Half Fare SmartPass – pay only half price on single fares on bus and rail services in Northern Ireland if you get the mobility component of Disability Living Allowance, have had a driving licence refused on medical grounds, have a learning disability, or are partially sighted.
