mamma mia

I just went to see this movie with my 17 yr old daughter the other night. I must say it is the best film/musical I have seen in years.
I cannot recommend it highly enough, if you get a chance and want to come out of the cinema smiling then go and see it. Meryl Streep and her two mates, julie walters and the other one, are totally fab and hilariously funny. And meryl streep can really sing too!

Hi Sky and Valleygirl,
There is no swearing (a rarity these days), and the story is pretty simple, but the dancing is great and as I said Julie walters is as ever marvellous.
Do not leave though until after the credits as there is another bit at the end which is worth waiting for- it's hilarious.
Enjoy and let me know what you think ok.

I've been to see it twice!!!! I really hate Abba but the film is sooo good. I had a smile on my face for hours after (an that takes some doin), Even Pierce Brosnans singing didn't put me off - and it is pretty bad!! There's a lovely song that Meryl Streep sings as she helps her 'daughter' dress for her wedding that almost had me crying my eyes out. The bit after the credits is so funny an well worth staying for too.
A definite feel good film - should be available on free prescription for all carers Yes emoticon Yes emoticon

Lol Kate, you should move to wales- theyre free here lol.

I agree coby, pierce singing is like nails down a balck board but i thought it added to the charm.
and that song she sang to sophia like you said, ive never heard it before and i thought it was beautiful too.
