Hello Marie

it's been a little bit later when the regulars seem to be going into the chat room once they have got their carees off to bed and the summer nights (not that we have had much summer!) you usually find less use the chat rooms than in the winter months

There is a chart room party on Thursday 21 Aug so no doubt the room will be full then.

I keep popping in at all times of the night but there never seems to be anyone around until later on.

I seem to find the same when I go in - later evenings are quite difficult as I have stuff to do as Mark often starts getting set for bed around 9pm. Maybe we should try and see if anyone wants to come in during the day or at the weekend at a certain time

I am having connection problems with the net and it is not worth popping into chat as no sooner am I in that I am cast out! Rest assured as soon as this is cleared up I will be back in there. I did try last night, Wednesday; and stayed 2 hours but was that a one off?

hello

i thought it was just me - whenever i popped in no one was home ( it started to give me an inferiorority complex!!!)

i would love to meet in the day as its about now i usually get the time and would love a chat.

I haven't been in for ages as I'm always so busy, and what with the boys off school too, and too knackered at night lol, but I did pop in the other night and I felt like Larry the Loner or Billy No Mates as no one was home!

Shame cos It's always such a laugh and the things that get chatted about are hilarious (apart from the serious chats anyway lol)

Hi would love 2 come and chat but it wont let me says i need java and dont know if it safe or how 2 install it !!!! me not a techno wiz am afraid any help gratefully received xxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Claire, just seen your message, but let me know if you still need any help with this. As kerry says it's safe to install Java - if you follow the link that appears when you try to enter the chat room it should automatically work out which version of java you need. If you still have difficulties, email us at web@carers.org and either Sam (online editor) or I will get back to you.

Chat room!

Long ago hidden in the depth of my memory by now; I asked for help for things like this to be posted on the front page. It cannot be beyond the capabilities of the techs in P R T C to do that! It will save frustration for one and goodness knows carers get enough of that as it is! At the moment it is like reading; ‘read the instructions before opening;’ the instructions are inside!
