Help or advice please

By Father Ted

I am uncertain as to how i should approach this, so i'll bite the bullet and just ask, i am looking at getting into working with either yourselves ( carers) or with dependants, such as learning support etc. I really hope that you don't feel that i'm encroaching on your space here Surrender emoticon but i figured you would be the best people to ask rather than just reading a text book etc. My theory is ,and i know it sounds like spin, is that you would be able to give me some advice on certain conditions etc as you know them better than anyone else.
Please if this is not appropiate to ask here let me know. I have some personal experience from my childhood of the impact conditions and illness can have on a life, i'm certainly not here to judge anyone.

hi father ted

let us know what you want oto know about and im certain someone on here will be able to help.

its so much easier when its a job to be a carer because at the end of the day you can forget the problems and go home. we carers cant!

best of luck with your new career.

Hi Ted
It might be an idea to get in touch with Adult Placement via Social Services. Adult Placement Carers are self employed but work for social services in many capacities. Offering day care, respite care and full time care for the elderly, mentally ill and people with learning disabilities. You are trained and will have to be CRB checked. You also have a good support network and you only care for those who you feel comfortable with and who feel comfortable with you.
