Much appreciated guys. Smile emoticon

Sheelagh has very kindly sent through some useful links relating to the topics we covered last night:

Link to the Information pages on the Age Concern England website,
www.ageconcern.org.uk

Easy-to-use guides covering healthy living, health services and going into hospital,
www.ageconcern.org.uk
Factsheet on Staying Healthy in Later Life,
www.ageconcern.org.uk

A special website devoted to 5-a-day, www.5aday.nhs.uk

A government healthy eating website, www.eatwell.gov.uk

Some useful information on salt, www.salt.gov.uk

Many local Age Concerns run healthy living projects as part of Active Ageing initiatives. Not all local ACs do this and often there is a fitness rather than healthy eating focus but if you want to find out contact details for your local AC and what they offer, you can either use the AC website and search using your postcode.

There’s a Find your Age Concern at the top of the ACE website home page or you can call the information line on 0800 00 99 66.

There is Scottish helpline for older people that could tell you about your local group 0845 125 9732.

And for Wales and you can look for your local group on their website, www.accymru.org.uk

In Northern Ireland you can find local groups (they have 30) on their website, www.ageconcernni.org
