Sick money

Hi can anyone give me advice please,I have been on the sick and out of work for now 10weeks roughly due to ill health.I only worked partime my partner is disabled and his money is above the rate to get income support help .Im wondering does he have to keep me when my sick money stops from work or would my imployer get rid of me knowing I havent been working for all this time now.I dont get carers allowance Im told that I can go onto incap benefit ,but never been on the sick before ,not sure what to do next can anyone give me advice .caroline.

You should probably be getting Statutory Sick Pay from your employer. However, if not, you should be claiming Incapacity Benefit. If you are getting Statutory Sick Pay from your employer, once this stops you should claim Inacapacity Benefit.

But if you are not entitled to Inacapacity Benefit - due to not having enough National Insurance Contributions, your only other route would be to claim Income Support (but as you said, your husband's income is taken into account). But please do double check that your husband's income is too high for Income Support.
