Staff are available to support and represent Carers in situations such as review meetings.

Benefits

Staff are able to advise on a range of benefit issues.
South Ayrshire Council has a dedicated Welfare Rights Officer for Carers to which Carers can be referred.

Carers Support Group

The Ayr support group meets monthly on the last Wednesday of the month between 1-2.30pm in the Carers Centre,43 Sandgate, Ayr. The Next Meeting will be held on Wednesday 25th August 2010.

Carers Training

Opportunities exist to access training through various organisations and groups eg. 1st Aid, Moving & Handling, Dementia Awareness and IT Training.

Form-Filling

Staff are available to assist in the completion of Benefit forms such as Disability Living Allowance, Attendance Allowance, Carers Allowance.

Home Visits

If you are unable to visit the Centre, and would prefer someone to visit you at home, this can easily be arranged.

Infomation & Advice

The Centre provides a comfortable, informal environment where Carers can seek confidential help, information and advice on all Carer issues.

Outreach

A dedicated member of staff covers the rural areas.
Telephone the Centre for a local appointment or home visit.

Reference Library & Literature
