Heart Disease

Caring for someone who has heart disease can be very demanding both physically and mentally, but remember not to bear the burden of care all yourself; doctors, nurses, social workers, voluntary groups and friends can all provide help and support with the emotional and physical problems faced by both you and the one you are caring for. In certain instances it may be possible to arrange respite care, where the person is looked after in a care home for a few days if you need a well-earned break. The cardiac nurse or social worker may be able to help with this.

For a more in-depth look at both this and any further questions you have concerning heart disease and its related illnesses, click any of the links on the right, post a message on our discussion boards or visit our online chat room.

it can be very hard to get the person who is ill to agree in asking for help they can make you feel bad for suggesting that they or you need help even if it just someone to talk too it can be a very lonely experince for both the ill person and the career .
